A new course is being held for adolescent boys transitioning to middle school as part of the Wednesday night group for New Friends New Life women and their children. This course work is particularly important in the lives of the young men served in NFNL, as most come from homes where father was absent or abusive.
The seven week curriculum, “Man Up,” is being taught by NFNL boy’s counselor Mark Strauss and will cover meaningful topics including: authority, responsibility, envy, courage, sexual temptation and repentance.
The Man Up curriculum was designed to mold young boys into godly men mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. By examining the life of King David, discussing the challenges facing men today and reading scripture, boys will discover God’s blueprint of what it means to be a man.
