New Friends New Life Announces selection of Kim Robinson as CEO

New Friends New Life is thrilled to announce the selection of Kim Robinson as CEO. Robinson was selected to take the reins of the expanding organization during a nationwide search, led by its executive board members. Kim’s official start date with New Friends New Life will be March 19.

“After looking across the country, we were thrilled to find Kim in our backyard,” said Wendy Messmann, New Friends New Life Board Chair and Regional Investment Executive, US Trust, Bank of America. “Her dedication to serving girls and cultivating their best selves combined with her extensive experience in both nonprofit and corporate operations made her an obvious choice to lead New Friends New Life in this next era."

Robinson will take over the organization as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. As a part of this new era, New Friends New Life will be holding the first Men’s Advocacy Group Breakfast on Monday, May 21. This event will focus on the organization’s effort to mobilize men to take action against sex trafficking and exploitation, through a keynote speaker and expert panel. The 20th Anniversary Luncheon will be held on Friday, November 9.

Robinson’s resume spans more than 20 years of strategic planning, marketing, operations, and innovation in consumer goods and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, she served as the chief operating officer for Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas where she oversaw the planning and implementation of all mission-related activities for over 30,000 girl and adult members and volunteers.

During her time at Girl Scouts, Kim brought strategic leadership to the largest revenue generator for the council, the cookie program, generating year-over-year financial growth. Kim also provided oversight for the organization’s STEM Center of Excellence strategic plan including but not limited to, its programs, partners, operations, staffing and ongoing funding needs.

Prior to joining Girl Scouts, Kim spent 18 years in senior brand management and operational roles with various organizations in Dallas including Frito-Lay, Dean Foods, and Highland Homes.

New Friends New Life is ecstatic to enter this next stage with Kim Robinson.
