Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers add value. . .
No one knows this better than those of us who work full-time for New Friends New Life. We started as a group of women voluntarily helping a young woman leave the sex industry. Our board members voluntarily make sure we continue to function as an organization. Every week volunteers feed, counsel, teach, pray and care for all of us. Throughout the year volunteers plan and implement special events that support us financially. It would be impossible to do the work we do without volunteers.
If you are interested in volunteering some of your time or talents to NFNL, please consider the below opportunities.
Volunteer Opportunities
Serve as the connection for your church or group at a monthly meeting to learn about needs and mobilize others to volunteer.
Volunteer in one of these areas:
- NEW! We are currently training volunteers to work one on one with women in the following areas: GED; college entrance/application; job skills/search; basic computer skills; access to basic services; budget counseling. Once trained volunteers can set their own schedule
- Administrative/Office Tasks
- Budget Counselors
- Children and Youth program
- Education and Employment Advisors
- Parenting Advisors
- Provide a meal for our weekly group meeting
- Participate in annual fundraising events:
- Home Tour and Holiday Shoppe, Art Sale and Spring Luncheon.
- Raise awareness of NFNL and the cause of women in the sex industry. Create your own enjoyable ways to share our message with your friends and invite us to participate.
- Provide employment opportunities for our women through our Business Partnership Model.
- Provide a financial gift to support a woman as she transitions from the sex industry. Giving may be done by mail or online.
