As we approach the end of 2022, we remain focused on our vision to create a community where women and girls can soar above the limits of their past and achieve their dreams. Among this year’s achievements were the redesign of Youth Resource Center Drop-In Program, and the creation of our on-site Legal Advocacy Clinic. Our office is abuzz with survivors who are daring to dream again, and we couldn’t be more inspired or determined to help them win!
By the end of this year, NFNL will also achieve its goal of serving 350 women and teens who have been exploited or trafficked. As we’ve welcomed these brave members into our programs, we have also experienced an increase in expenses that are critical to our members’ success and to our agency’s operations. If you’re on this page, you are likely already connected to our mission, and we thank you for every gift of money or time that you have given in the past. And if this is your first time giving, rest assured that we will be good stewards of gifts, as we have been for nearly 25 years of serving this community. Please make your year-end gift to NFNL through this page, or by sending a check postmarked by 12/31/22 to New Friends New Life, PO Box 192378, Dallas, TX 75219
Thank you for taking a Stand for Her.
2022 Legal Wins
Rhonda, 31, gained housing through a homeless assisted housing agency but experienced intense flooding in her apartment complex causing severe water damage including corrosion and mold that made her home unsafe. Despite repeatedly asking for help from the apartment complex and housing agency for several weeks, Rhonda was constantly ignored forcing her to remain in terrible living conditions that impacted both her mental and physical wellbeing. Thanks to the advocacy of NFNL’s staff attorney, Rhonda has since been relocated to safe housing can now continue focusing on her personal development, financial education, and counseling.

Stephanie (16) was referred to the YRC from the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center. Upon joining NFNL, Stephanie immediately felt a sense of safety and disclosed, for the first time in her life, the significant physical and sexual abuse she had been experiencing. Through the support of her case manager, Stephanie decided to finally advocate for herself. NFNL’s Legal Advocacy Clinic helped Stephanie overcome the legal and financial barriers so she could advocate for herself and reclaim her power in a space that would have otherwise been inaccessible.
